Mould Technologies Holding Group (“MTH”)
In January 2008, CGS established MTH and acquired Schöttli Group. SCHÖTTLI is a leading manufacturer of high-end injection moulds. SCHÖTTLI is an important pioneer in the design of technically sophisticated injection moulds and today employs 150 people. The company has successfully maintained its technological edge through to the present-day. Its expertise in complex applications is underscored by the systematic push to expand in the medical area over the last few years. In November 2008, CGS accomplished a first add-on acquisition to the MTH Group. s-mouldtech is a Suzhou (China) based high end mouldmaker. The acquisition in China strengthens the local presence of MTH in the growing Chinese and Asian market and enables the Group to serve its customers locally, which is an increasingly important asset in today’s competitive environment. www.s-mouldtech.cn
Maag Automatik
In February 2008, CGS acquired Automatik from quoted Swiss Rieter Group. Automatik is the world's leading supplier of pelletizing equipment and offers suitable equipment for any of the process options within the pelletizing industry. Pelletizing is the operation which brings plastics melt into a shape suitable for subsequent processing. The new name of the company is Automatik Plastics Machinery GmbH. www.automatik.de
In June 2010, CGS has completed a merger with Maag Pump Systems, the Swiss based gear pump manufacturer according to the strategic initiative to become the world’s premier systems integrator for plastic processing. The combined business, to be known as Maag Automatik, employs over 450 people in ten countries.
Maag is a leading global provider of highly engineered polymer and compounding pumps, extrusion pumps, screen changers, filtration systems and high-end industrial pumps. It serves the polymer industry and other diverse manufacturing end use applications such as the petroleum, chemical, extrusion and rubber industries. mdexx GmbH
In January 2009, CGS acquired mdexx GmbH from Siemens Group. mdexx develops and produces transformers, power supplies, reactors and filters as well as axial and radial fans for tailor-made ventilatory solutions. 100 years of experience, highly qualified employees in the development and construction sectors and the latest measuring and testing equipment guarantee the highest quality possible. mdexx GmbH produces at three sites in Germany, Czech Republic and China, using sophisticated quality and environmental management systems. Electronicparc Holding AG
In 1999 and 2000, CGS made the platform acquisitions to establish under the name of Electronicparc Holding AG a new group in the contract electronic manufacturing industry. Four companies were based in Switzerland and one additional company was located in Romania. By 2004 the Electronicparc Group was highly profitable. It was merged with publicly listed company Cicorel in July 2005. The new industry group’s name is CICOR Technologies and it is listed on the Swiss stock exchange (SWX / CICN). www.electronicparc.com and www.cicor.com
Bourdon-Haenni Holding AG
The main acquisitions to build a group in the process instrumentation industry were made in 1999 and 2000. The two strong brands Haenni (CH) and Bourdon-Sedeme (F) were merged and the new entity operated under the name Bourdon-Haenni.
The Group was further strengthened with additional strategic acquisitions and today, Bourdon-Haenni is a recognized industry leader in the European marketplace. The company was sold to Baumer Group Switzerland in November 2005.
